Ochre is the Brooklyn-based design studio, established by David Robinson. We believe that for design to be effective and communicative, it must marry clear and understandable messages with visually engaging beauty. At Ochre, we create visual identities, help brands establish their unique voice in the marketplace, and make sure they stand out. Our guiding principle is to push at the boundaries of what’s come before, never be complacent with “good enough”, but never lose sight of the clients needs.

David is a designer, illustrator, and educator specializing in narrative-driven communication at the human level. This is expressed through editorial design, brand development, experiential design, and advertising. Having received an MFA from CalArts and raised in New York, his practice is a hybrid of east coast communication with Californian experimentation.

David has taught at Parsons School of Desig, the Pratt Institute, and Queens College.
