This is a series of illustrations based around the Domino Sugar factory in Williamsburg Brooklyn. At the moment, the building is under attack of being torn down to be replaced with more luxury condos. My fascination with the patina and character of the building came after living in the area during the summer of 2013. But as I did these drawings in my studio in southern California, the incorporation of desert plants spoke more to my fascination with places and these dueling influences in my life.
