In an effort to re-imagine a familiar aspect of L.A., this poster series humanizes the Los Angeles freeway system, evoking the character of each road and supplying context to the miles of concrete. The freeways are both a defining character of the city but exist separate from the neighborhoods they connect in a liminal space. Focusing on the beauty found in the forms of the interchanges, the hope is to re-instill an appreciation for the freedom these modernist structures once created.
