On December 5th 2013, I facilitated the first CalArts Pub[lication] Crawl, a learning-centered educational workshop. Participants were asked to share both their physical and digital libraries of inspiration—namely books and internet bookmarks they regularly turn to. In pub crawl fashion, we traveled from desk to desk and each person explained a bit about what they were looking at and how it informed their practice. The aim was to increase our shared knowledge of design exposure and as every pub crawl should involve a drink, we raised a glass of wine or beer to design at each station.
